navigator.userAgent per Firefox risposta browser:

navigator.userAgent per MSIE:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

se voui aprire una popup diversa a seconda del browser usato dall'utente, fai tante if quante ne servono per i diversi browser.

Se sai già l'userAgent di un determinato browser mettilo nella nuova if.

Se non sai l'userAgent di un browser fattelo stampare con

document.write(navigator.userAgent)
