w3schools è stato recentemente criticato dal gruppo di lavoro su HTML5 per essere una risorsa imprecisa e non sempre attendibile, che oltretutto gioca sulla somiglianza del nome, ed evita di precisare che non ha nulla a che vedere con il W3C
