Cioè sono arrivato alla conclusione che è impossibile installare Quanta editor avendo solo Gnome .. ci vuole Kde.

praticamente sono partito da un errore che mi diceva

configure: error: We need a working libXext to proceed. Since configure
can't find it itself, we stop here assuming that make wouldn't find
them either.

Alla fine ogni libreria cià bisogno di un'altra..che casino.
