Ho Win2000 (PPPoA) e non mi è possibile
settare il MTU a 1500.

Esistono delle soluzioni?

Oppure mi conviene utilizzare il protocollo
PPPoE lasciando il MTU a 1492 ?

Ho un'adsl 640 di telecom, ho guardato i miei dati nel link in prima pagina, il mtu era già a 1500, mss a 1460 e l'rwin a 17520. Allora ho modificato l'rwin facendo 1460*22 e ho messo 32120, ma ora in basso mi scrive questo:

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1284.8 kbps (160.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 513.92 kbps (64.24 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

Non è sbagliato? Allora l'rwin non lo devo mettere a mss*22, ma dovevo lasciarlo come prima?

Ah ok, perchè prima di modificare mi metteva i limiti a 85kb/s e 34kb/s che sono molto vicini al limite di download dell'adsl 640, mentre ora sono il doppio, per questo non ero convinto della modifica.

Il risultato totale è questo:

quella lì è la velocità massima che puoi raggiungere con quel rwin su un server di 200ms di oing e 500ms di ping (non esistono in pratica).
infatti, se tu avessi la 1280 dovresti settare mss*44.
con l'rwin corretto dovresti avere un miglioramento nel download
