Era successo anche a me, per ovviare al crash dell'explorer.exe ho installato il Net.framework 1.1 di Microsoft, da allora non me l'ha più fatto.

Lo trovi fra gli aggiornamenti di Windows Update, dal sito della Microsoft...non è detto che sia quello, ma a me l'ha risolto.

Vai in www.microsoft.com ,a sinistra troverai "windows update" vai e fai l'installazione.
