se non chiedo troppo vorrei sapere come convertire il codice sopra in codice con css. Devo usare div annidati? ma se così fosse il risultato finale sarebbe sempre qualcosa di contorto!

sarebbe meglio che scrivi il link alla pagina in rete, così è + semplice aiutarti e vedere come è fatto il layout.

prendendo ad esempio la pagina index costruita con tabelle, vorrei riconvertirla con i css.
