Problemi con Samba

Salve a tutti, ho un problema nel configurare samba nella lan del mio studentato. Io possiedo un ibook 14'' con Mac Os X 10.4.6 . Il resto dei computer in rete hanno per la maggior parte Windows Millenium e pochi Windows XP. Ho creato un utente di nome smbuser, ho installato samba, ho attivato la condivisione windows e condivisione documenti da Preferenze di Sistema --> Condivisione, e ho configurato /etc/smb.conf nella seguente maniera:

Il problema che incontro è il seguente: se provo ad entrare in risorse di rete, Irnerio (il mio dominio), riesco inizialmente a vedermi (compare l'iconcina con scritto J3sus). Il problema è che se provo ad entrarci facendo doppio click, il sistema operativo (windows millenium) mi dice che è impossibile entrare. Se però digito da start --> esegui: \\10.250.17.116 (il mio ip), riesco ad entrare tranquillamente nelle mie risorse condivise, da qualsiasi computer connesso in lan. Qualcuno sa dirmi come fare a risolvere questo problema? Spero di essere stato abbastanza chiaro grazie in anticipo.

Ho installato Samba Sharing 2.0, e ho notato che smbd e nmbd risultano non essere attivi, motivo per cui quando provo ad avviare Samba Sharing tramite pulsante start, non succede nulla. Così ho inserito smbd e nmbd, come trovato in una guida, nel file inetd.conf . Nulla, i demoni non partono. Allora ho provato a farli partire manualmente:

smbd start
nmbd start

Non ricevo alcun messaggio d'errore, ma faccio ps aux | grep smb (lo stesso per nmbd) e non trovo nulla. Come mai? Il programma di installazione si Samba ha anche creato lo script che dovrebbe far partire automaticamente all'avvio smbd e nmbd, ma continuano a non partire. In /etc/hostconfig, la voce samba è settata a -yes- . Non riesco a capire per quale motivo questi due maledetti demone non vanno. Aiutooooo!!!

Prova a cercare in /var/log/samba/!
Dovresti trovare 2 file di log.. guarda se ti di dicono qualcosa!
