ho dovuto disinstallare tutto quanto riguardava nvidia (urpme nvidia -a) e poi reinstallare glx (urpmi -y -a glx) e sostituire xorg.config con un vecchio XF86Config-4 preso da una vecchia Knoppix e rinominato xorg.conf.

Ora il 3D funziona, ma ho due, piccoli ma fastidiosi problemi. X parte con una risoluzione di 1024x768 con frequenza 70 Hz, mentre io vorrei usare 1280x1024 a 75 Hx. Devo cliccare sull'iconcina sulla barra dei programmi e sceglierla manualmente, dopo di che funziona perfettamente. Non trovo il modo di impostarla manualmente in xorg.conf ed anche se la setto dal centro di controllo di mandriva, al riavvio mi ritrovo a 1024x768 e la rotellina del mouse, invece di fare lo scroll della pagina, ricarica la pagina precedente.
