Cambiare focus dopo onChange

Buon giorno, ho questo problema, non riesco a cambiare il focus, dopo aver effettuato un submit tramite l'onChange.Vi posto il codice:

<input type="text" name="txtNumCivico" style="width:50px" value="<? echo $txtNumCivico;?>" onChange="frminiziorichiesta.submit();">

Interno<input type="text" name="txtInterno" style="width:30px" value="<? echo $txtInterno;?>">

Vorrei che, dopo il submit, l'input text txtInterno prendesse il focus.
Come posso fare?

Con cosi pochi dati diventa impossibile aiutarti posta la pagina completa, come la riceve il browser (senza cod PHP) complessiva di eventuali funzioni js etc..

Secondo me non è possibile inviare il form e ricaricare lo stesso form.
Se è cosi altrimenti spiegati meglio.

non è che è impossibile ricarciare lo stesso form, è che tramite l'onChange di quella input text name='Civico' mi deve eseguire una query per estrapolare dei dati, una volta estrapolati, mi deve posizionare il cursore sulla inpu text successiva.
E' possibile fare ciò ricaricando il form?

Si mi sono espesso male secondo me è impossibile infiare il form in modalita POST e ricarcare lo stesso impostando il focus su un altro campo.
Inoltre ho visto che eseguiresti la stessa richiesta nel campo quartieri, pertanto il browser ti chiederebbe conferma del operazione.
Io userei ajax.
