Failed to access IIS metabase.

Salve a tutti.
Sto iniziando a capire qualcosa di ASP.NET.
Al primo tentativo si pagina, come da esempi sulla guida MS, mi imbatto in questo errore:

Server Error in '/Mod05CS' Application.

Premesso che ho attivato il servizioIIS su quella pagina come ASP.NET 2.0 ma non riesco
a capire la natura del problema.

Come devo operare ?

Cercando sulla Rete, ho trovato una soluzione semplicissima.
Da Installazione Applicazioni scegliere di Reinstallare/Riparare l'installazione del
NET Framework (nel mio caso il 2.0).
Occhio al file web.config, almeno all'inizio conviene cancellarlo. E' il responsabile ti
molti errori. O meglio, se non lo si sa scrivere/implementare, si ottengono diverse
segnalazioni.
