[DEBIAN] automount pendrive

Ciao,
uso Etch con KDE, ho installato udev, hal, dbus, pmount e gnome-volume-manager ma quando inserisco una pendrive, il sistema la vede, apre la classica finestra in cui chiede cosa fare e se seleziono di aprire la dir relativa alla pendrive, mi compare questo messaggio:

Come faccio a montare in automatico la pendrive?

hal.conf sul mio sistema conteneva già le linee descritte nel bugreport e avevo anche già creato la voce in /etc/fstab, ciononostante continua a non funzionare.
