    tabella boot..

    Ciao a tutti.. sono nuova del forum, ma credo che vi accederò spesso da adesso.
    Volevo chiedervi una cosa...
    dopo aver fatto la partizione, aver installato windows e successivamente ubuntu..
    il pc mi accede subito al sistema operativo ubuntu? come devo fare per scegliere il S.O.?
    grazie in anticipo.. a chiunque mi aiuti..sono disperata.

    ma windows c'è ancora ? l'hai mica cancellato ? Prova a vedere se la sua partizione (immagino /dev/hda1) c'è ancora e se contiene ancora i file di windows. Se c'è bisognerà aggiungere la voce per caricare windows nel boot-loader. Ora, non ricordo se ubuntu usa LILO o GRUB. Aspetta qualcuno che usi ubuntu.

    No, /boot/grub/menu.lst è un file di testo, devi copiarne il contenuto e postarlo sul forum.

    questo di seguito è un esempio di quello che dovresti trovare nel file menu.lst

    tieni presente che è necessario accedere al file con i privilegi di superutente e per far questo devi usare il comando "sudo".

    Devi aggiungere queste righe:

    title Windows
    root (hd0,0)
    makeactive
    chainloader +1

    hd0,0 indica la prima partizione del primo Hard Disk, se Windows è installato su un'altra partizione devi mettere il valore opportuno (hd0,1 per la seconda partizione e così via)

    E cosi mi farà scegliere con che S.O. partire? o devo aggiungere un qualcosa.. un programmino.. non so.

    scusate..
    ma per sapere che numero ha la partizione c'è un sistema per controllare? perchè ricordo che era dopo quella per ubuntu ma vorrei essere sicura è 3 giorni che combino guai...
