ho installato una kubuntu 6.10 purtroppo quando sposto le finestre o scrollo le finestre i movimenti sono a scatti e non fluidi.

la scheda video è integrata nella scheda madre.

cosa posso fare ?

molto probabilmente il problema è legato all'accelerazione grafica, dovresti innanzitutto stabilire che chip video è integrato, per saperne di più posta l'output di lspci (con i privilegi di root)

poi, potresti postare l'output di xorg.conf per vedere se ci sono imperfezioni o mancanze nella configurazione

in effetti la scheda video sta usando driver generici vesa che non sono eccezionali come prestazioni, penso che, la cosa migliore da farsi sia modificare xorg facendogli usare i driver nvidia.

prima di modificare e riavviare il DE, fai una copia dello xorg.conf in modo tale da poter ripristinare il tutto nel caso ci fossero problemi

ok, grazie, ora va come una scheggia però è sorto un altro problemino, la risoluzione mi arriva al massimo a 800x600, questo problema lo avevo avuto pochi giorni fa su un altro pc e ho risolto reinstallando ma qua non posso.

aggiungi le frequenze corrette del monitor che stai utilizzando, ho trovato questo, forse può esserti utile.
