Buonasera ho un problema di boot.
Premessa:
Ho due HD: sul primo disco c'e' installato Windows XP, sul secondo Windows Vista.
Ho tentato a questo punto l'installazione di Ubuntu 7.4 sul secondo disco, ridimensionando la partizione di Windows Vista durante la procedura di installazione di Ubuntu e creando nuove partizioni per Linux.
Primo problema:
Nel boot loader grub non mi vede Windows XP ma ho solo 2 voci relative una a ubuntu e l'altra a Vista.
Ho provato a far partire Windows Vista ma il PC si riavvia immediatamente. Ubuntu invece parte.
Sono andato a vedere allora il file /boot/grub/menu.lst ed ho notato una cosa strana:
Windows Vista era impostato come
root (hd0,0)
.......mmmm no, Vista sta sul secondo disco...prima partizione....ho modificato con (hd1,0)
Ho poi aggiunto una voce relativa ad XP mettendo root (hd0,0).
Riavvio.
Stesso problema. Ubuntu parte, Windows Vista e Windows XP appena selezionati fanno riavviare il Computer.
