Errore Runtime in produzione

Salve a tutti,

sto spostando un sito aspx dalla mia macchina su un server di produzione ma al momento dell'esecuzione mi ritorna il seguente errore:

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

a sensazione è come se non beccasse il web.config ma ho controllato che sia puntato correttamente e sia un XML well formed.
Ho trovato questo thread http://www.programmingtalk.com/archi...hp/t-2280.html ma seguendo i consigli che davano lì ancora non ho risolto =((((

Credo che sia un problema da principianti però al momento non so dove sbattere la testa anche perchè (come è facile intuire) è la prima volta che provo a pubblicare un aspx.

nel server vai in "Gestione computer" -> "Utilità di sistema" -> "Visualizzazione Eventi" -> "Applicazione"

dovresti trovare anche gli errori di aspx.net..

Scusa la banalità ma hai provato a seguire le istruzioni dell'errore?

Prova, se non l'hai già fatto, a impostare <compilation debug="true"> nel web.config sul server remoto e vedi se ti chiarisce cosa causa l'errore.

Il più delle volte è un percorso diverso al database o roba del genere ma senza quel tag nel web.config ti segnala sempre l'errore generico che hai riportato.

Ho risolto, il sito doveva essere una virtual directory e la cartella superiore non aveva tra gli utenti "Users".
