installare linux su pendrive

Ciao,
sto cercando qualche tutorial per installare una distribuzione Linux su una pendrive da 4 GB che non so come altro utilizzare... L'idea sarebbe realizzare qualcosa di simile a Mandriva Flash che da quanto leggo sembra un gran bel giocattolo. Mi andrebbe bene un tutorial per installare una qualsiasi delle distro maggiori per uso desktop (Fedora, Mandriva, OpenSuse, Ubuntu) o anche Knoppix e altre debian based (Mepis o Mint). Qualcuno di voi ci ha provato? Avete qualche link da suggerire?

Prima di metterlo su pendriver , puoi pure italianizzarlo , personalizzarlo su hd , poi ricreare un unuovo liveinstallable. Perfettamente funzionante , il pacchetto mklivecd di pclinuxos è il più veloce esistente in assoluto.
In poco + mezzora io ci ho creato un remaster dvdlive installable di 1.73 gb.

Al momento ho a disposizione solo il mio caro vecchio portatile che non mi permetterebbe di crearmi una versione personalizzata di alcuna distro. Ho iniziato a installare da live cd su pendrive circa due ore fa e ancora non si vede la luce... Se poi mi sembrerà interessante, quando mi tornerà il portatile nuovo (ora in assistenza ) magari la personalizzo.

Ho installato PCLinuxOS su una pendrive da 4GB ma non è esattamente quello che cercavo: funziona tutto tranquillamente... ma solo sul pc da cui l'ho installata. Il sistema installato sulla pendrive è adatto alla configurazione del pc da cui è stata effettuata l'installazione e quindi non può essere utilizzato su altri PC (salvo rifare tutta la configurazione a manina).
