    sid e nvidia 1.096xx

    ho installato da zero una debian (in modalità netisint lenny) ed aggiornata a Sid, tutto perfetto se non fosse che nn riesco in nessuna maniera ad installare i driver NVIDIA la versione 1.09631... e passa in quanto ho una GeForce 4 Mx 440 che è supportata solo fino a questa versione... dai repository nn mi fa installare quella versione perchè ci sono dipendenze non soddisfatte, e con l'installer dei dirver proprietari non c'è verso... sempre UNABLE TO BUILD NVIDIA KERNEL MODULE... come messaggio di errore... ho gli headers ed i source installati e uguali alla versione di kernel installata {2.6.24-1-686} ho fatto il link a gcc-4.0.. ma continua a non andare. Ho allegato il log d'errore...

    avete idee?!!?

    avevo trovato un tutorial stupendo x installare driver video su debian. quando accendo l'altro pc te lo passo...se vuoi ricordamelo su skype

    prova semmai con module-assistant a fargli fare i " [ ] nvidia-kernel-legacy "

    altrimenti devi installare un kernel piu vecchio o usare quello di lenny

    l'ultimo kernel da problemi annche a me se inserisco i moduli paravirt che sembrano essere l'inizio dell' errore

    Ho la tua stessa scheda su debian, ho usato i driver legacy ufficiali disponibili sul sito, basta solo far attenzione durante l'installazione ignorando il messaggio circa la versione di gcc
    "Aiuterò le forze dell'ordine a sventrare eventuali truffatori, eventuali assassini che abbiano utilizzato l'informatica per fini malvagi"

    beh non so cosa dirti... io ho scaricato la versione 1.09631 sul sito di nvidia e nn vanno... nonostante l'errore di gcc che poi nn da più perchè link a 4.1... cmq che versione hai? sid pure tu?










    P.S. ho scaricato gli ultimi i xxx.46 ora riprovo con quelli.... speriamo

    in effetti avevo quelli vecchi credevo fossero gli ultimi disponibili, grazie all'utente moskitoita!!!

    ho installato la versione 96-43-05 ed è andato tutto ok!!!
