Errore aggiornamento alla 8.04

Sto aggiornando dalla 7.10 alla 8.04 e mi da il seguente errore:

Impossibile calcolare l'avanzamento

Si è verificato un problema non risolubile nel calcolo dell'avanzameto.

Potrebbe essere stato causato da:
* Avanzamento a una versione di Ubuntu in pre-rilascio
* Esecuzione della versione di pre-rilascio attuale di Ubuntu
* Pacchetti software non ufficiali non forniti da Ubuntu

Nel caso non rientrasse in nessuno di questi casi, segnalare questo evento come bug del pacchetto «update-manager» e includere nella segnalazione i file in «/var/log/dist-upgrade/».

Ho fatto apt-get update e upgrade. ma non dava nessun aggiornamento disponibile.. come rep attivi ho solo il main

fai prima a piallare a installare da zero
se non hai fatto backup hai fatto malissimo

Preferivo l' aggiornamento per mantenere le personalizzazioni..
l' avevo fatto dalla 7.04 alla 7.10 e tutto è andato liscio.

Ora comunque il sistema funziona. L' upgrade si blocca quasi all' inizio

devi aggiornare a pezzi in questi casi

non potendo gestire tutto

possibilmente a sezioni

prima apt poi ad esempio xserver poi kde o gnome

a bloccarsi un giorno si e l' atro facilmente pure di norma è la repo di medibuntu , a parte che ora stà lavorando pure benino , puoi tranquillamente commentarla .
Per sapere in quale repositry stoppa comunque è sufficente interrompere il download con ctrl-alt-z , a pie di pagina ti viene visualizzata la repositry inchiodata. .

E' sicuramente la main. Si ferma subito all' inizio.

Oltretutto ho provato anche a mettere solo la main e togliere le altre.

Ora riprovo e vi fo sapere

Cambia i server delle repositri nel sources.list usa quelli di esat.net

Puoi fare il cambio direttamente da synaptic sono inclusi nella lista dei server ufficiali disponibili

nulla... anche con la lista di rep che mi hai dato stesso errore...

aggiorna gradualmente come ti ho detto

da synaptic puoi aggiornare anche 30 pacchetti per volta

poi magari ce la fa a gestire l'upgrade completo

io ho avuto questo problema con fedora
per aggiornarla alla 9 ho dovuto fare almeno 4 upgrade parziali
