Linux mint su usb

Sto tentando di installare linux mint da usb con questa guida:

Il mio problema è che mint parte correttamente da usb ma sempre in modalità live (quindi non salva niente).

Ho provato a creare un'altra chiavetta lanciando il programmino Install che trovo all'accensione sul desktop, sembra sia tutto a posto, ma quando lo riavvio mi da Error 21: Selected disk does non exist.

devi modificare il menu.lst della chiavetta in modo che punti al disco (hd0,0), comunque se lo posti lo vediamo insieme.

Sto finendo di nuovo l'installazione, provo a farlo ripartire, se da ancora l'errore posto il file.

Scusa l'ingnoranza ma sono nuovo all'ambiente linux.

Nel momento che installi la penna è il disco aggiuntivo qundi contando a partire da zero è il disco hd1 e il menu.lst porta questo nome, quando invece booti dalla penna questa diventa il disco principale e quindi hd0.
