Wvdial su Ubuntu

Ciao Gente,
Ho un problema con la connessione del mio Lg U960 tramite Wvdial.
In pratica settati tutti i parametri di configurazione la connessione avviene ma passati circa 3 secondi il ppp viene bloccato con la seguente scritta:

"The PPP daemon has died: A modem hung up the phone (exit code = 16)"

Ho provato anche a disabilitare il Wifi e a impostare a mano i DNS

Si l'ho letto ma purtroppo il mio problema non è quello.
L'AT+CONT impostato come l'ho messo io, ossia AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","naviga.tre.it",,0,0 è teoricamente corretto.

Altre idee?

Ho provato anche settando il modem come analogic ma stesso risultato

Ci ho provato ma non va neanche in quel modo.
Ad ogni modo oggi riprovo magari tra i 2000 tentativi che ho fatto me lo son perso per strada

Ho trovato questo articolo in cui si parla di una patch sviluppata dall'autore che ho scaricato
non ho la piu pallida idea di dove trovare i file del network manager per applicarla.

qualcuno puo spiegarmi come fare?
