script asp che legge una mail e aggiorna database

Sto cercando uno script, eventualmente anche una soluzione
commerciale, che esegua questa funzione:

deve scaricare e leggere le mail da una casella pop3,
estrapola i dati che mi servono dalla mail e con questi
dati aggiorna un database access inserendo un nuovo record.

Mi serve per automatizzare la gestione delle vendite:
le email sono tutte strutturate nello stesso modo.
Esiste qualche cosa del genere o avete da darmi degli spunti?

Ho trovato software che fanno già questo lavoro
ma girano su pc mentre a me serve qualcosa che lavori
sul server, in modo da non dedicare un pc h24 a questa
funzione e per garantire il perfetto sincronismo con il sito.

la mail è quella spedita da ebay al venditore quando vende un oggetto.
questo è il formato testo che ho tirato fuori con il copia e incolla
ma originariamente è una mail html.

Complimenti. Il tuo oggetto è stato venduto. Hai accettato di spedire l'oggetto all'acquirente entro 1 giorni lavorativi dalla ricezione del pagamento. Puoi inviare all'acquirente una fattura come promemoria per il pagamento dell'oggetto.

credo di aver capito.

però nel subject della email c'è il numero dell'oggetto che mi
serve recuperare.
Il subject è di questo tipo:
Il tuo oggetto è stato venduto! Nome prodotto (111222333444)
questo numero è anche presente in altre parti del documento html
ma non so se venga indicato anche nella parte in testo puro,
in quanto fa parte dell'oggetto e nel documento html è presente
come parametro url dei link inviato come ?.....&item=121212121212

Essendo molto schematizzata, sarebbe sufficiente scaricare la
mail dal server pop3, leggerla, cercare dei marcatori ben definiti ed
estrarre quello che serve, utilizzandolo poi per inserire un nuovo record.
Quello che fanno i software desktop ma non ho trovato nulla
che giri lato server.

no ancora non mi ci sono messo.
sto mettendo assieme i tasselli per vedere come
affrontare il problema.

In effetti, visto che ci sono già sw desktop che fanno
tutto questo, ero indirizzato a cercare qualcosa di già
pronto, anche se commerciale.

Personalmente non ne ho trovati, se non ne trovo vedrò
di realizzare il tutto (o almeno provarci) anche se obiettivamente
non ho mai affrontato tutto questo, sia il collegamento pop3
che lo scarico, lettura ed estrapolazione dei dati.

Hai qualche indicazione da darmi su cosa guardare o cercare?
