In passato ho trovato spesso grossi problemi dopo l' apt-get upgrade nel senso il sistema non si riavviava kde non esisteva piu e altre cose noiose che praticamente mi costringevano a reinstallare completamente il sistema.
Al giorno d' oggi come si ottiene un aggiornamento fatto come si deve magari automatico su Debian?
Oltre agli script cron si puo fare altro...
E ipotizziamo un ambiente server aggiornare senza rischiare di bruciare l' installazione???

è stable, fanno solo fixaggi , non aggiungono nuove versioni.
mi sambra strano che ti si sia piantato un installazione di debian stable dopo un upgrade.

Lato server ho smesso di usare debian per questa ansia che mi è rimasta durante l' upgrade dei client piu volte ho visto casini notevoli..

Ho usato Debian sin dalla versione 3, Potato mi pare si chiamava, mai avuto un problema di upgrade con la stable.
D'altra parte come ti hanno già detto con i bollettini di sicurezza fanno gli upgrade solo di software che la comunità considera insicuri dopo la scoperta di qualche bugs o vulnerabilità, difficile che modifichino un intero pacchetto di programmi come KDE.
http://www.debian.org/security/ certo è che prima di fare un upgrade importante va letto bene la parte relativa al changelog, è normale, devi pur sapere cosa modificheranno e se ciò influirà sulle applicazioni che girano sul server.
