Tastiera su laptop HP G62 120SL

Ho preso questo laptop da Unieuro e, dopo tempo immemorabile, ho reinstallato le "solite" distribuzioni (Mepis, l'ultima Ubuntu e Mandriva, che non parte... )

Sia su Mepis che su Ubuntu invece non va la combinazione dei tasti ctrl+alt+f1.
Ctrl funziona. Nessuno ha qualche idea sugli altri due tasti?

Aggiornamento:

su questa tastiera bisogna usare
CTRL+ALT+Fn+F1/F12
(in pratica se usi solo ALT è come se usassi FN, con tutti e due va bene...)

L'ho scoperto ora sul forum di ubuntu.
