cosa posso fare per sistemare il problema?

Prova a disabilitare il firewall di windows mentre lo aggiorni.

il problema è che è completamente disabilitato e mi hanno assicurato che sulla rete non ci sono porte bloccate o firewall che bloccano quei siti....ecco cosa ho provato
- scaricare un hotfix dal sito microsoft per windows update
- inserire il sito windows update nella lista dei siti attendibili
- scaricare il controllo di genuinità nuovamente per farmi dare la riconferma dell'originalità del sistema operativo
- verificare i crtificati (l'unico scaduto è verysign ma non credo c'entri molto)
- stoppare e riavviare tutti i servizi legati a windows update
- sbattere la testa contro il muro
- resistere al lancio del PC dalla finestra
- disperarmi
- rassegnarmi

Prova a farli manualmente.. uno alla volta.
Ovvero disabilita gli automatici. Cerca gli aggiornamenti in win update e ne scarichi uno alla volta. Almeno saprai quale da problemi.

nessuno....il problema è che non va in automatico...manualmente mi aggiorna tutto

Aggiornamento: dato che ho notato che tale problema si riscontra almeno su altri 3 PC della stessa LAN, è possibile che chi mi ha assicurato che non ci siano blocchi sulla LAN si sbagli? oppure che windows abbia cambiato qualcosa e che quindi ciò che prima era sbloccato (in termini di porte o IP) ora sia inutile visto che è variato qualcosa?
