XML estrarre variabile con : due punti

Ciao a tutti, dovrei estrarre da un file XML una variabile che si chiama "tel:name" ovviamente mi da errore l'XML è questo:

<name>tel.search.ch</name>

</autor>

ciò che uso per estrarre questo

  $xml = simplexml_load_file("http://tel.book.com........................");   
  echo $xml->entry[0]->tel:name;

ovviamente "tel:name" non lo estrae perchè il PHP da errore, come faccio?

Il problema è la sintassi PHP, chiedi nel forum dedicato a esso che è più appropriato

scusa ma forse dico una cosa che hai già valutato, ma fare una cosa del tipo

<tel>
  <id>valore</id>
  <pos>valore</pos>
  <name>valore</name>
  <firstname>valore</firstname>
  <firstname>valore</firstname>
</tel>
