DEVO LEGGERE UN'IMMAGINE TIFF E CONVERIRLA IN UN'IMMAGINE NORMALE DI JAVA (JAVA.AWT.IMAGE). COME POSSO FARE??

mi da un'exception sulla drawImage()
io devo solamente leggere un'immagine tiff e disegnarla.

non va la funzione jai.create(), il secondo parametro mi lancia la seguente eccezione:
javax.media.jai.RenderedOp javax.media.jai.JAI.createNS(java.lang.String, java.awt.image.renderable.ParameterBlock, java.awt.RenderingHints)
