Problemi nel creare il link

Salve a tutti, ho il seguente problema con Oracle e precisamente nel creare un link tra database su computer diversi.
Sul primo ho un Db in oracle 8i (8.1.7) e sull'altro un db in Oracle 8.0.4.
Ho creato attraverso Net*8 un alias sulla prima istanza,la testo e verifico che funziona collegandomi attraverso SQL*PLUS al DB remoto.
Creo poi il link sulla prima istanza utilizzando suddetta stringa di connessione ma ricevo il seguente errore:

ERRORE alla linea 1:
ORA-02085: database link ORCL.US.ORACLE.COM connects to ORACLE.WORLD

Inviatemi qualsiasi aiuto vi venga in mente!!!

P.S.: Il link tra istanze sullo stesso computer mi funziona!

ORA-02085 database link string connects to string

Cause: The database link attempted to connect to a database with a different name. The name of the database link must be the same name as the name of the database.

Action: Create a database link with the same name as the database to which it connects
