Help me : which adsl offer???

    Hello all,
i'm sorry but i don't speak yet italian, but i learn it.
i live in italy now and i'd like to have a internet connection at home, for the moment i haven't got phone connection also ( and i don't want one, if possible), i live near Bergamo in Ponte San Pietro.
So i need your help to find a internet offer for which i didn't have to open one phone line and to pay each month 15€ to telecom italia, because i just want internet, i don't know if it's possible in italy... This offer must be also for a fulltime at 512/128 speed.
Thank you in advance for your answers,
    Best regards,
    Nicolas

tin.it and ngi offers ADSL without voice connection with Telecom Italia...

the problem is that ... to get them.. you will have to wait longer than normal.. and maybe few troubles...

    www.tin.it
    www.ngi.it

you can choose the adsl right for you
    the speeds are:
    256
    640
    1200 etc...

    with Tin...
you must call the operator and ask for a new adsl.. and that u don't have the telephone line
maybe you must call theme several times to find an operator that can manage this order!

noone is sure about the time they need to activate it...

ngi is little bit more expensive...
but faster...and they allow adsl without voice line.. normally (so maybe simple for the order)

I am sure that with the operator you must speak italian.. so ask...help to a friend of yours!

It is not so easy to get a DSL without a phone line contract, if you want to try (good luck...) you have two choices:

    TIN (www.tin.it) and NGI (www.ngi.it).

Anyway, be prepared to wait for several months.

Thank you a lot for your fast answers!
So i understand that it's hard to obtain an internet connection without a phone engagement. I think that in this case i must take a contract with telecom italia.
I saw that for a new phone connection, we must pay 120€ to telecom italia for the setup of the line and after 15€ per month, is it right?
And after what is for you the best offer for adsl, i saw that tele2 is not bad, right?
    Grazie tante!!

if I were you .. I would ask to a friend ... for a call to TIN.IT or NGI...
and ask to the operator a new adsl FLAT.. ...
and remember to tell to the operator that you don't have a telephone line...

how long to have it ??
    noone can say it..
depends on how much.. pople of telecom ITalia want to work in your town Telecom Building!

Actually, Tele2 is OK (and cheap) to make phone calls (local, mobile, long distance or international calls) but, even if Tele2 is also cheap for DSL, I wouldn't suggest it since many users of this newsgroup reported Tele2 as not as very reliable ADSL provider.

Instead, I would suggest you to contact the following ADSL providers:
    www.tin.it
www.adsl.it or call 187 (telecom Italia)
www.ngi.it (more expensive but it's the best one)

To make a new contract with Telecom Italia just call 187 or request it by Internet at www.187.it (I hope they have an English version of the web site, if not post here your questions and we'll help you)

NOTE: ask for a "residential cat.B line"

If you activate your line by phone you will immediately get your phone number and later on (two o three days) you will be contacted by the technician who will install the wire and the phone equipments at your home.

The one time setup fee is as much as Euro 120,00, also you'll have to pay 14,57 euro per month for the line rent (VAT included).

If you want you may activate an ISDN line (two channels) for as much as 19,84 euro/month (VAT included)

In case you choose the ISDN line, when you activate the ADSL you'll get an additional free line dedicated to ADSL.
