un qualsiasi editor testuale (ad esempio notepad di windows)

ammetto di aver espresso un concetto semplice in una matassa di parole rendendo il tutto molto ingarbugliato :tongue:
Provo a rispiegarmi. Diciamo che ho un file .exe, un programma qualsiasi, che al momento in cui viene eseguito fa il suo porco lavoro (relativi file nelle cartelle di sistema etc..). Poniamo il caso che questo eseguibile contenga dei files che al momento in cui viene lanciato vengano copiati in una cartella qualsiasi (c:\programmi\cartella_qualsiasi\sottocartella), e poniamo il caso che a me interessino quei files, ma non voglio installare il programma, c'e' la maniera?

No non si può..
Se il programma è qualcosa come un file eseguibile creato con Winzip o altre utility di compressione (WinRar, ecc.) puoi tentare di aprirli con questi programmi che solitamente riescono ad interpretare l'archivio sebbene sia stato incorportato in un file eseguibile.
Se si tratta di un file proprietario, non credo sia possibile (non in modo così semplice come descritto sopra...).
