SELECT problema con css e bordi

Qualcuno conosce un modo per modificare il bordo / freccia di una select?

Il mio problema è proprio il BORDO della SELECT.

Riesco a formattare testo/sfondo come voglio ma non il bordo!!

Il default è indentato con freccetta grigia standard...
invece dovrei farlo diventare con bordo solid di 1 px..

Sugli input funziona mentre con le select no!!
