modem ethernet ma con protocollo pppoA?!?

ciao a tutti, mi hanno appena attivato Libero ADSL in ULL (la versione fast, a 1.2mbps.. vado per punti !

1)Il modem in comnodato è sia ethernet che USB, ma io lo collego alla scheda di rete... è uno Starbridge Aethra.

E' gestibile attraverso un pannello di controllo web (che io raggiungo all'indirizzo 10.0.0.2), quindi mi sono collegato e tutto, ma mi è sembrato di vedere una cosa strana: nelle impostazioni di connessione tra i protocolli attualmente uso PPPoA VC-MUX... non dovrei avere un protocollo PPPoE?

e soprattutto, quale setto?

ho: PPPoE VC-MUX, PPPoE LLC e PPPoE None


2) cercando di hostare una radio con shoutcast mi è uscito l'errore di disabilitare il NAT, ho provato a farlo dal pannello di controllo del modem ma poi non riesco piu a navigare? che diavolo è?

3) mi dareste una controllatina?

Va bene PPPoA.
Mi sembra di ricordare che quello sia un modem/router.

Dovresti settare (sia sul router che sul PC) MTU=1500.

Prova a fare un ping su maya.ngi.it


PS: cancella il tuo IP dal messaggio precedente.

eppure sia da dr. tcp/ip che dal coso di config del router ho settato MTU a 1500....

beh ma tutta la procedura descritta li è leggermente diversa da quella che ho seguito io (seguendo il libretto delle istruzioni di libero), la connessione mi viene rifiutata interrogandolo su 192.168.1.1
