Ciao Ciao
ieri pomeriggio dopo ore sul notebook ho preso una pausa e l'ho spento. quando l'ho riacceso non sono più riuscito ad accedere come utente a KDE: quando mi loggo mi fa una schermata nera e mi riappare la schermata di login, senza avvisi di errore. ho creato un altro utente e va, come pure root.
Secondo voi cosa potrebbe essere acccaduto?!

accedi con quell'utente da una console (init 3)
ed eventualmente rimuovi la directory $HOME/.kde
se dando startx incontri ancora problemi.

fatto ma non cambia nulla
ho rimosso .kde ma se faccio startx da shell non parte!

pazzesco! ho riavviato ora e pure l'altro utente (creato stamattina) si è bloccato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

per fare tombola, prova un attimo da root.
Se non ti parte kde, il problema non è degli utenti.

Che distro usi?

se non ricordo male, nei log di sistema, o in quelli dell'utente, viene indicato perchè non parte la sessione grafica dell'utente...
a memoria penso che ci sia qualche cosa di simpatico da leggere qui:

ora sono come root e va tutot ok
con gli utenti ho prvato anche da gnome ma uguale!
sto usando da due mesi suse9.1 e proprio ora alla vigilia della presentazione di un lavoro mi va in palla tutto!

Questo è un buon punto di partenza.
Percaso hai modificato qualcosa relativo al server grafico?
Dai una controllata a /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.
