Debian e drivers Alsa

Devo installare i drivers alsa per far funzionare la mia scheda audio su debian Sarge.
Sto seguendo la guida che ho trovato sul sito però mi serve un chiarimento:

Copy and paste this to the bottom of your /etc/modules.conf file.
(The /etc/conf.modules has been deprecated with a few distro's so in your case, it may still be /etc/conf.modules)
Note to debian users: You need to save this information into a file in the /etc/modutils/ directory (Eg. /etc/modutils/alsa) and run update-modules

Ok per il modules.conf ... ma come Debian devo creare un file, che contenga il testo in questione, chiamato alsa nella directory /etc/modutils?

guarda il file

/etc/modprobe.d/sound
e mettici i driver alsa della tua scheda
io ad esempio ho in quel file

alias snd-card-0 snd-via82xx
alias sound-slot-0 snd-via82xx
dentro a modutils c'è gia alsa-base comunque puoi crearlo anche li fai un file di testo e ci copi quello che dice la guida


metti i driver anche in etc/modules e lancia anche alsaconf con i moduli caricati

Mettere i driver della mia scheda vuol dire copiare ed incollare questo?

no in /etc/modules solo il nome del driver da caricare

che scheda è ?

Comuque io ho questa scheda audio e funziona senza problemi sia con gli alsa che con gli oss
