attivare trasparenze xorg

ho messo con gli rpm xorg ( ) sulla mia suse 9.1. di funzionare funziona (è identico a prima), correi sapere come si attivano le trasparenze. non ho internet su linux (ancora per poco ) , cosa dovrei fare?
ho visto nel pannello di kde in aspetto finestre "Translucedy". ho impostato un po' a cacchio ma non fa niente.

l'avevo già visto, ma non avendo internet non posso scaricare transset e xcompmgr. poi non sono neanche riuscito a trovarli su ftp.

spero che le queste versioni vadano, non sono cvs, ma in gentoo con quelle di portage le trasparenze sono ok

ho ristabilito la connessione da linux (56K). ho provato la guida di quequero ma sia con xcomp che con transset mi da errori durante la compilazione. ho scaricato il bz2 di xcomp da un link che mi hai dato ma non passa il configure

beh dice che ti manca pkg-config
installa prima quella dipendenza e poi prova a ricompilare

il bello è che da yast risulta installato. mi dà anche questo errore

avevo dimenticato di installare xorg-devel. allora , dal centro di controllo puoi impostare le trasparenze, per attivarle devi lanciare xcompmgr. IMPRESSIONI: lentissimo se metti una opacità bassa, sarà per la mia ati 7000 ma cmq reattività=0, boh, vorrei sapere le impressioni di chi l'ha provato con una scheda video + potente. cmq sto fatto delle trasperenze è fichissimo

anche da me è molto lento, con una ATI 9000
mi pare che con le Nvidia sia un po' più performante, ma non saperi dirti personalmente
