Ati Radeon 9000pro

Salve a tutti e auguri anke se un po' in ritardo...

Comunque come da titolo ho una Ati Radeon 9000 pro, ma nn riesco ad abilitare l'accellerazione grafica, ho giò scaricato i driver aggiornati dal sito della Ati, ho convertito il file rpm con alien e l'ho installato e ho provato a modificare il file di config di X, ma nn sono riuscito a risolvere una mazza...

Cosa potrei fare?

[edit] ho dimenticato di specificare la distro...Uso la knoppils basata sulla Knoppix 3.7...

Si e mi pare, anche se con qualche difficoltà, di aver fatto tutto correttamente...
Almeno credo...cmq vista la mia inesperienza potrei anke sbagliarmi...

Integrati in XFree86 a partire dalla versione 4.3.0, in ogni rilascio di X.org.

Che consigli possiamo darti se non ci dici nemmeno dove ti dà errore? Ti carica i moduli correttamente, si configura correttamente eccetera?
Incolla il risultato di

egrep \(EE\) /var/log/XFree86.0.log

Per i driver DRI usa sempre quella guida, anche qui dicci dove ti blocchi e/o dove ti dà errore e/o postaci sempre il risultato di quel comando.

Allora io ieri ho installato i driver ufficiali...Ma di errori nn ne ho visti...comunque ora nn sono connesso ad internet con quel pc...comunque vedrò di postare il prima possibile quello che mi chiedi...
