dettagli errore squid

ciao,
su una macchina Sun ultrasparc (da utilizzare cone proxy) ho installato debian3.0 e aggiornato squid.....

lo configuro.....

dopo aver fatto la cache

squid -z

lancio il server

squid -D

sta trenta secondi su'

e poi cade

nel messages ho:

squid parent: child process nnn started
squid parent: child process nnn exited due to signal 6



dove trovo maggiori dettagli dell'errore?

nel file di log? /var/log/squid/...

ci sono i 3 log dei accesso e store della cache-squid

non ho segnalazioni circa il processo

Non è che hai un _ nel nome host della macchina...

ho visto nell'userlog questo errore:
"Cannot open HTTP port"

Hai impostato la variabile visible_hostname in squid.conf?
Se no, occorre specificarla con il proprio nome di host, come indicato nelle informazioni sul file.
Forse è questo...

ho fatto una prova cambiando la porta 8080 in 3128

....
....

funziona.....!!!


da netstat -n
vedo che la porta 8080 e' in listening, anche se non so da chi !!!!!
