span, div e dimensioni

come faccio per avere il primo span dell'1%, il secondo del 99% ed entrambi lunghi 110px quanto il div?
cosa sbaglio? perchè non funziona?

Ho risolto così! penso vada bene uguale!

hai fatto bene ad usare misure assolute, perchè Firefox interpreta il CSS in modo corretto. la visualizzazione "giusta" di IE con le percentuali è errata.
