[Debian] non va più il mouse

Allora ho dato un apt-get upgrade adesso il mouse nn si muove più (kernel 2.8). ho riavviato e avviato con il kernel 2.4 e con quello funziona. Con il 2.8 è sempre andato prima dell'upgrade.
Un dubbio, prima di aggionrnare mi sa che avevo testing nel repositrory (mi serviva per un prog) poi nn l'ho + cambiato e mi sa che ho fatto casino.
qual'è meglio testing o unstable? si può fare entrambi?

e il kernel 2.8 dove l'hai trovato?!? certo che sei proprio avanti tu!

prova a riconfigurare il server X

# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

oppure, se sei passato a xorg:
# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

prova a guardare nel file /etc/X11/XFree86-4 o /etc/X11/xorg.conf come è descritto il mouse. al limite incolla qui che vediamo se ci si capisce qualcosa...

poi scegliere psmouse al mouse e alla schermata successiva Imps2 come protocollo se ha la rotella

poi prosegui ed in findo devi naturalmente accettare le modifiche quando lo chiede

hai un file di configurazione di knoppix adesso e ci sono diverse sezioni doppie

prova comunque a scrivere in /etc/modules

psmouse

per farli caricare al boot il modulo del mouse

psmouse non c'è, c'è un psaux
in /etc/modules psmouse è già inserito

mi sono accorto che quando fa il boot dice che nn può caricare il modulo psmouse. Anche quando avvio con il kernel 2.4 e il mouse funziona.

ricompila il kernel e metti statici tutti moduli della sezione input

ci sono proprio le opzioni specifiche per il psmouse

ho provato ma ho mandato tutto in kernel panic.
ho provato ad installare da apt, ma il mouse non va.
La cosa strana è che prima dell'aggiornamento anche con il kernel 2.6.8 il mouse andava, dopo l'aggiornamento va solo con il kernel 2.4
