installazione server dhcp

MI è venuta la brillante idea di installare un server dchp sulla mia macchina ubuntu per provare a farlo funzionare dopo aver installato il pacchetto relativo con apt-get install dhcp3-server mi apparso il seguente problema.

root@gianluca:/home/pagliaccio # /etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart
Stopping DHCP server: dhcpd3.
Starting DHCP server: dhcpd3 failed to start - check syslog for diagnostics.
root@gianluca:/home/pagliaccio #

per le mie conoscenze abbastanza complicato capirne il problema.

fai quello che ti dice!

leggi (postaci) le linee di syslog (lo trovi in /var/log) riguardanti dhcpd3!

se ci trovi troppa roba fai un

# grep dhcp /var/log/syslog

che stampa solo le righe che contengono dhcp ;-)
