quanto può influire l'rwin?

Allora qui in casa siamo in rete con 4 pc.. + 1 che fa da server/router.

Questo server gira con SO freebsd e fa più o meno la funzione di router firewall.

Però qui a casa, da una dichiarata 1.2 mb da parte telecom, il mio download non è mai andato oltre i 50 kb/s..

curiosando qua e là ho fatto il testo su speedguide..
ecco i risultati

noto che il valore rwin è decisamente basso, forse dovrei settarlo (ma ancora non so come sotto bsd) a 1460*44 (circa 64240), ma otterrai qualche risultato?

i ragazzi qui in casa mi han detto che mamma telecom ha sempre inventato balle quando chiamano.. stesso hanno fatto con me, parlando di server down e ke addirittura non dovrei neanche riuscire a connettermi...

domanda, da dove provavi a fare un download?
lo facevi dal server o dai client?
hai messo qualche limitazione di banda per il traffico?
mi fai un ping e un tracert su maya.ngi.it?

il download è dal client ed il server non ha alcuna limitazione di banda, cmq provvedo oggi a fare un download dal server.

il ping è normale.....
prova eventualmente a controllare anche rwin dal client se hai winxp o similare.... mettilo a mss per 44
se neanche così funziona, prova ad abbassare leggermente mtu sui client a 1492, ma solo come ultimo tentativo
