    UBUNTU reloaded, i problemi rimangono

    Dopo aver abbandonato da mesi ubuntu per un problema con il modem adsl ethernet, mi sono tolto uno sfizio provando la liveCD di ubuntu.

    MAGICAMENTE TUTTO FUNZIONA!!!

    Quindi => reinstallo ubuntu sul pc. Il problema pero' rimane: dopo aver fatto pppoeconf (e tutto e' andato a buon fine) parte la connessione che dopo qualche secondo cade.

    Se provo a fare pon oppure plog mi da questo messaggio:

    Da totale niubbo, direi che pppd e rp-pppoe sono in conflitto, pero' non saprei.
    Se volete ho un file con dei risultati piu' esaurienti.
    Nel caso fate un fischio. Comunque sapete come posso risolvere il problema? E soprattutto sapete perche' il liveCD funziona come un treno??

    apt-get intall net-tools

    Dal menu di sistema - amministrazione - rete
    riconfiguri salvi ed attivi la connesione definitivamente
    net-tools sicuramente visto che l'installazione è andata a buon fine dovresti averlo gia installato comunque.

    ad occhio e croce fai il solito errore nella configurazione della rete

    quando mette il gateway devi cancellare la riga ( svuotarla )

    devi dare quel comando

    quella riga la devi cancellare durante l'installazione

    propone l'hostname in genere poi l'ip poi il gateway e i dns

    il gateway lo mette da se e va cancellato l'indirizzo che mette da se nella maschera

    Ma non mi esce quella finestra durante pppoeconf...
    Mi chiede di salvare l'ip ricevuto da internet nel file resolv.conf, poi mi chiede username, password e se voglio far partire la connessione all'avvio...
    Tutto qui.
    Non mi chiede il gateway...

    Ho un normalissimo modem adsl alice ethernet (205T), simile agli d-link, con porte usb e ethernet, ma io uso ethernet.

    Comunque, ho provato a rifare pppoeconf e oltre a chiedere user e pass mi chiede se voglio che il confguratore cambi delle voci nel file di configurazione (mette un noauth da qualche parte, etc. etc.) e se voglio che mi metta nel file /etc/resolv.conf l'indirizzo del gateway scaricato da internet, e stavolta ho messo no perche' e' proprio il famoso 192.168.1.1 che mi hai detto di levare.
    Poi non mi chiede altro.
    Il file /etc/ppp/dsl-provider non riesco ad aprirlo...

    HELP PLEASE!!!
