salve a tutti, sono nuovo di linux e non riesco a capire come fare per la connessione, ho letto varie cose ma le risposte non le ho trovate, non so nemmeno se viene riconosciuto il modem ( è adsl, usb). qualcuno saprebbe dirmi come fare cortesemente? grazie mille. un'altra cosa, ho scaricato dei driver per la scheda video ma quando clicco per istallarli non esce niente, anche se sono loggato come root

cerca anche nel forum che sono argomenti trattati tutti i giorni
potresti iniziare a visitare flashtux, vedi se il tuo modem e' nella lista e, se si, scarica i driver e installali.
sul sito trovi anche un'apposita guida per farlo.
il modem è un telindus nd220 usb, ho cercato i driver, ma niente. ho trovato un link ma non si apre. la scheda video è geforce4 mx
il telindus se hai mandriva dovrebbe configurarlo da se
nella configurazione guidata basta scegliere sagem il sagem usa lo stesso driver
per nvidia devi leggere la guida (readme ) sul sito dei driver linux
purtroppo ci sono sempre stati problemi con i modem adsl usb su linux.
Purtroppo mi duole dire che non tutti i modem usb sono supportati da linux.
credo ci sia pochissimo da fare
se invece hai mandriva beh non ti resta che provare quanto sopra citato

il telindus è uno dei piu semplici da installare comunque
devi solo imparare ad usare il terminale o consolle
con mandriva devi installare alcuni files eagle-usb e gli altri di eagle prima di configurarlo
Ciao a tutti. Ho appena installato suse 10.2. Desidero adesso configurare il modem telindus nd220 con connessione alice. Un problema che spero di risolvere insieme a voi. Allora vi dico cosa ho fatto. Innanzitutto scaricato i driver eagle 2.1.1. Vado a vedere da konsolle se ci sono i moduli uagle-atm e us-atm e niente. Vabbò. Provo ad in stallate i driver e questo è l'errore:

devi installare con yast2 gcc
lo puoi avviare dal menu e i pacchetti poi te li chiede dal cd di suse
