Ho un MODEM adsl HM210 Ethernet
Ieri ho installato slack 10.1.
Dopo l'output "connected!!" di pppoe-start ho dato: ping www.google.it
OUTPUT REGOLARE
Poi ho installato slack-current
Ho usato gli tessi parametri di configurazione usati con slack 10.1
Dopo l'output "connected!! di pppoe-start ho dato: ping www.google.it
NESSUN OUTPUT
Ho caricato il modulo della mia scheda di rete: modprobe via-rhine
Ho ridato pppoe-setup.
Dopo l'output "connected!!" ho dato: ping www.google.it

Slackware 10.1 andava sia usando

che usando 'server' alla richiesta del DNS di adsl-setup
Questi dns comungue li ho già provati anche sotto slack-current. Ma niente da fare.
se hai due schede di rete controlla che non si siano invertite
dai magari un iptables -F che dovrebe azzerare tutte le regole poi magari in pppoe-setup metti i dns che sono fondamentali quando li chiede
non usare netconfig se hai una connessione con modem ethernet
altrimenti potrebbe essere un eventuale firewall
prova a caricare anche gli altri moduli di ppp
modprobe ppp-deflate e ppp-generic o pppox se hai il kernel 2.6
