madriva non installabile

linux sara pure bello pero è impossibile trovare una distribuzione priva di errori...
è incredibile!
ho scaricato mandriva in dvd da
ftp://bo.mirror.garr.it/pub/mirrors...so/2006.0/i586/
e nell'instalazione dopo avermi formattato le partizioni scelte mi da il seguente errore
"Can't read compssusers.pl file , aborting installation..

allora mi sono scaricato la versione in cd, sempre di mandriva, da
ftp://ftp.slackware.no/linux/Mandriv...o/2006.0/i586/
ma mi da lo stesso errore .
cosa dovrei far e?
una distribuzione funzionante di mandriva esiste?

dovrebbe essere un problema con le iso
le hai masterizzate corretamente
prova semmai a masterizzare il cd 1 piu lentamente o parti da un altro lettore

ho fatto tutto cio che mi stao dicendo ... sia con i dvd ch econ cd1.. ma non va , mida sempre lo stesso messaggio.
tra l'altro che errore sarebbe?

non riesce a leggere dei file semplicemente

o ha problemi di comunicazione con i cdrom o il cd non gli piace

fagli controllare md5

o prova le opzioni avanzate di installazione

tipo noapic ad esempio

problemi di installazione possono anche dipendere da difetti della ram

anche perche 2 settimane fa mi sono messo un anuova scheda ram..

a me non faceva installare piu niente tempo fa poi ho tolto un banco ed adesso va perfettamente

cmq il file compssusers.pl si trova nella cartella nel dvd

si il file sui cd c'è
il problema arriva quando arriva a leggerlo

se ad esempio venisse caricato in ram per l'installazione prima di essere utilizzato trovando una ram difettosa potrebbe creare il problema
difficile da dire
se arrivi al punto dell'installazione in cui chiede se vuoi copiare le iso sul disco prova a dirgli di si
