validato ma non prende css FF

ciao a tutti ho creato una pagina XHTML che poi validata risulta

ho pero' il seguente problema, visualizzzata con IE viene impaginata correttamente, mentre ho provato con Firefox e non "carica il foglio di stile", come mai?

il css lo carico cosi':

C'è qualcosa che non va su come sono stati salvati i file...quando ho provato ad aprirli la prima volta in pspad erano pieni zeppi di caratteri strani; con notepad sono riuscito ad aprirli, copiare tutto in nuovi file e da lì hanno funzionato

ok, se lo salvo con il notepad con codifca ANSI, lo vedo sia in IE che FF, ma la pagina non e' validata...

You have used an illegal character in your text. praticamente mi da errori sull'uso dell'apostrofo es:

se lo salvo con il notepad con codifica UNICODE, lo vedo SOLO in IE ,E la pagina e' validata...

Sostituisci tutti gli accenti "storti" (ovvero ’ ) con quelli diritti (ovvero ' ); questi ultimi sono standard.

Poi salva come UNICODE, direi.

Facci sapere.

ho sostituito ’ con ' , ma ancora con firefox non prende lo style..

Se non lo vedi cancella la cache.
Tidy riporta 0 errori.

Ciao senti io x inserire il CSS in una pagina web uso qsta stringa:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

nn so k dirti x il tuo problema eccetto una: controlla che il file style.css sia nella stessa directory del file html. Oppure che sia segnalato dove si trova!
