[VB.NET] Verificare se il dato è un numero

Ciao,
io devo verificare se il dato con coi valorizzo la variabile, è un numero, ho provato una cosa simile ma nn funziona

For i = 0 To i = 999
If nodeData.Code = i Then
txtNewValCode.Text = nodeData.Code
txtNewValDescr.Text = nodeData.Description

Else

txtNewValCode.Text = nodeData.Description
txtNewValDescr.Text = nodeData.Code

End If
Next
