avrei bisogno di un vonsiglio:
ho la necessità di installare un server che vada 24H il quale deve montare un server web-posta-backup, e nel quale vistualizzare una macchina windows per farci girare un gestionale.
Ho pnesato di utilizzare Fedora....Ora che cosa mi conviene acquistare a livello hardware??...non volevo comprare un server vero e proprio.
Pensavo ad un PC normale...ma non saprei prorpio con che caratteristiche prenderlo.

perchè non andresti a spendere poco..
dovendo virtualizzare tra quetso e quello ti serve una bella macchina....
mhà non grandi cifre...io a dire il vero...speravo di potermela cavare acquistando una macchina "normale" non un server o affini.
Poi tengo a precisare...che a questo server vengono collegate due macchine..e una da una rete esterna...e per lopiù viene utilizzato per il programma sotto windows durante il giorno...poi per il backup pensavo di farlo fare alla notte quando nessuno è collegato.
non è tanto questo ma il fatto che un server vero deve avere hd scsi, controller raid e altre cosucce che non sono propri di macchine economiche....
io punterei su veri server di fascia bassa ed eventualmente un pò alla volta potenziarli...
Io mi sono buttato su un dell PowerEdge sc 1435 c' è chi parla male di dell ma non ho nulla da ridire ha girato un periodo con fedora perfettamente poi sono passato a debian etch
Con 699 euro ha un PowerEdge 860 oppure prendi un tower te lo configuri e lo ordini...

fatalità...mi è rientrato un dell POWEREDGE 2400....e se eventualmente prendessi un normalissimo PC (ti po quelli che si acquistano da mediaworld) potrei trovarmi tanti problemi??
