codice di tracciamento, lo posso inserire in un js esterno?

ho il seguente codice di tracciamento:

inveced di dover modificare tutte le pagine html, potrei inserirlo nel mio file js linkato su ogni pagina cosi?:

il problema è che non sembra funzionare
