I am the creator and developer of EKD, which is referred to your site here:

I created EKD at the end of 2004 for the need for of a short amator film project that I was doing with a friend (we was using Blender). The film project has stopped but I continued to develop EKD. We are now three developers in the project EKD.
I would just like to point out that the version you mention is not good, in fact EKD is passed to the version 2.1.0, you can learn more here:

Soon it will be 3.0.0 version but we have yet no release date.
On the site you note that the original language is english, but in fact it's not english but french (it's simply because the EKD interface is displayed in english for users whose language has not yet been translated).
I would also ask you a favor, is there translators here ? Indeed if there are translators, I can make available a .po file (to open and translate in PoEdit) to translate the interface of EKD from english to italian (my grandfather and my grandmother from my mother's side were Italian [Venice area] but I can't speak Italian).
If you can translate EKD from english to italian, let me know.
It should be noted that EKD is developed under GNU/Linux and then I create a .exe for Windows.
