Problema indexed database

Ciao a tutti,
sto seguendo il "mini"corso di HTML5 presente sul sito.
Sono arrivato al capitolo riguardante gli indexed database.
Bhe seguendo passo passo la guida sto riportando il codice in una file .html appositamente creato.
Il problema è che, quando vado ad eseguirlo, nella console mi viene restituito l'errore "Uncaught TypeError: Type error" sull' istruzione

var request = indexedDB.open("WebLibreria", "Il gestionale per librerie");

essendo un neofita non saprei da dove iniziare per risolvere...potreste per favore aiutarmi?
